    Day 01: Hanoi Lao Cai (Train)

    We will catch the overnight train soft sleeper with AC to Lao Cai. The train leaves at 22.00 from Hanoi railway station.

    Day 02: Lao Cai – Sapa - Cat Cat – Sapa (B)


    The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. Driving to Sapa is only 38 km but it takes around one hour to make our way up the mountains. Once at Sapa, we will check into the hotel (if the room is available – check in time after 12:00). After freshening up and having breakfast we are ready to explore Sapa town. We embark on a lovely walking tour to the hill tribe village of Cat Cat, home of the H'Mong hill tribe minority people. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with families that live in the area. Overnight in Sapa.

    Day 03: Sapa – Lao Chai - Ta Van - Sapa – Lao Cai – Night train to Hanoi (B, L)

    Breakfast in the hotel we then, embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hills tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H'mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages. Return to Sapa and then to Lao Cai railway station by car. The guide sees you off there and takes you on the train.

    Day 04: Hanoi


    Arrival Hanoi in the early morning, back to your hotel by yourself. End of all the services.

    Hanoi city – haft day

    Ha Noi capital is located on the banks of the Red River with tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake at its heart; Hanoi is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. North of the lake are the bustling streets of the Old Quarter, each street named after the trade that used to take place there. Sightseeing with a Local Guide; water puppets performance; visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace, and Temple of Literature, Ethnology Museum, take a “cyclo” ride through the Old Quarter.

    7.30 am to 10.30 a.m

    Start with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex. Pay your respects at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (only in the morning, closed on Mon/Fri and for two months every autumn) and visit the stilt house, where Ho Chi Minh lived modestly from 1958 to 1969 (only in the morning). The Presidential Palace, on the contrary, is a beautifully restored colonial building constructed in 1906 as Palace of the Governor General of Indochina. Before leaving this area of botanical gardens and important monuments, you see another Hanoi landmark: the delicate One Pillar Pagoda.

    10.30 am to 12.30 am

    Continue your glimpse into Vietnam’s past at the peaceful Temple of Literature. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere in this well-preserved place, where Vietnam’s first university was established in 1076. Stroll through the labyrinthine streets of the Old Quarter and try a delicious caphe sua chua (iced coffee with yoghurt), something new like the caphe trung da (coffee with a beaten egg white) or a strong caphe den (black coffee) in a traditional cafe. Finish your tour with a visit of the delightful Ngoc Son Temple on picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake.

    Our guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi. Then visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda; founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist - dating from the Ly Dynasty) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (one of the oldest in Vietnam).

    13.00 – 15.00

    After lunch, proceed to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Vietnam’s first university constructed in 1070, its gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Then visit Bat Trang pottery village or we will visit Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and visit Ngoc Son temple. At the end of the tour, visit by coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter. Free for shopping until 15:30. Tour ends at around 16:00.

    Duong Lam Ancient Village

    The ancient village of Duong Lam has been recognized as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture Sport and Tourism. The village has a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400 years. Two of Vietnam's kings, Phung Hung(?-800) and Ngo Quyen (896-944) were born in Duong Lam, giving the village its prestige. The village has been well-known for its surviving laterite brick houses, built three to four centuries ago. Laterite is red clay formed from weathered basalt found in northern Vietnam. Along with its historic value, Duong Lam, is an important place for scientists to study resident communities and ancient agriculture.

    Guide and car pick up guests at hotel then transfer to Duong Lam ancient village about 50km away from Hanoi. Stopover on the way to visit Son Dong traditional sculpture village. The Son Dong wooden statues are present in many pagodas and communal houses in the Northern provinces. Visit some households in the village, see mastered the technique of making wooden statues. Walk along village road to visit Son Dong communal house and survey Viet traditional culture with the cult of fecundity.Continue to drive to Duong Lam.

    Arrive Duong Lam, visit village gate, Mong Phu communal house, some ancient houses and enjoy local products: rice wine, rice cake. Go around the village to visit some cultural and historical vestiges in Duong Lam such as: Giang Van Minh worship-house, Princess Mia Palace and Temple, Mia pagoda.

    12:30 Lunch at the Hoa Sua restaurant by Son Tay ancient citadel. Free time for visiting ancient citadel.

    13:30 Transfer back to Hanoi.

    14:15 Stopover on the way to visit Tay Phuong pagoda - the best example of old typical pagoda in the northern of Vietnam, special with Arhan statue.

    Visit Van Phuc silk village. Experience the process of making silk from beginning to end, and the making of conical hats. Touch Van Phuc silk which is famous for making traditional textiles throughout Vietnam and overseas. See the silk from cocoons made into fine silk threads. Wander local market in Van Phuc village.

    17:30 Drop guests at hotel. End the services.
