Pay your respects at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (only in the morning, closed on Mon / Fri and for two months every autumn) and visit the stilt house, where Ho Chi Minh Lived modestly from 1958 to 1969 (only in the morning). The Presidential Palace, on the the contrary, is a beautifully restored colonial building constructed in 1906 as Palace of the Governor General of Indochina. Before Leaving this area of botanical gardens and Important monuments, Hanoi you see another landmark: the delicate One Pillar Pagoda.
Continue your glimpse into Vietnam's past at the peaceful Temple of Literature. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere in this well-preserved place, where Vietnam's first university was established in 1076. Stroll through the labyrinthine streets of the Old Quarter and try a delicious caphe repair (iced coffee with yoghurt), something like the caphe new medium skin (coffee with a beaten egg white) or a strong caphe den (black coffee) in a traditional cafe. Finish your tour with a visit of the delightful picturesque Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake.
